Inter will target Udinese goalkeeper Juan Musso as a replacement for Samir Handanovic, with the Argentine ready to make the switch.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri are seeking a long-term replacement for their club captain and have settled on Musso, after he has impressed throughout the season.

Musso is ready to leave Udinese after three years at the club and would prefer to remain in Serie A, whilst a departure would earn him a considerable increase on his €1 million salary and bring in a large transfer fee for the club, in the region of €20m.

Despite attracting interest from Jose Mourinho’s Roma, that trail has now gone cold and Inter have become the favourites for him, whilst his close relationship with former Racing Club teammate and current Nerazzurri striker Lautaro Martinez may also aid their pursuit.

The 26-year-old is set to depart for Argentina on Tuesday to represent his country on home soil in this summer’s Copa America, but his future could be decided following the tournament.

Inter come up against Udinese and Musso today in their final Serie A match of the season, at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
