Chelsea are continuing to press for Inter striker Romelu Lukaku, with the player their main target in their search for a striker.

This according to UK news outlet The Telegraph, who report that the English club are still attempting to bring the 28-year-old in despite his and the Nerazzurri’s firm rejection of the offers which they have made so far, which have been far below the Nerazzurri’s asking price for the striker.

The English side had made Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland their top attacking target for the summer, but look increasingly unlikely of completing a deal for the Norwegian.

Still searching for a striker, they have turned their attention to Lukaku, hoping that good relations with his agent Federico Pastorello will make a deal feasible.

However, the player has no desire to push for a move away from Inter, and the Nerazzurri see him as a key part of their plans for next season.

The Blues have not let their interest in the Belgian wane, with their desire to bring in an attacking target clear, but it could take some work for them to convince the Nerazzurri to begin to consider a sale.
