Inter striker Lautaro Martinez will return to action in time to make his Serie A season debut in the Nerazzurri’s second match of the season, away at Hellas Verona.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the Argentine is recovering well from a minor injury and is expected to be fully fit for the Verona clash.

There is no doubt that the 23-year-old will miss out on tomorrow’s encounter with Genoa at the San Siro, as he is suspended thanks to an accumulation of yellow cards from the end of last season.

However, the minor knock which he has been dealing with is not expected to be an issue for much longer, and he will be available for the Verona match.

Nerazzurri supporters, and manager Simone Inzaghi, will welcome the sight of Martinez’s return to the pitch, with the Argentine set to be an important component of Inter’s attack following the departure of Romelu Lukaku.
