Inter are still hoping that Lazio will lower their asking price for forward Joaquin Correa from €40 million.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reports on his homepage that the Argentine remains a major target in the Nerazzurri’s search for a striker.

However, Inter are waiting to see if Lazio lower their asking price for the Argentinian attacker.

Head coach Simone Inzaghi still would like to be reunited with Correa, with whom he enjoyed a successful working relationship while the pair were together at Lazio.

However, the Biancocelesti have not yet relented from their valuation of €40 million, which is putting Inter off of moving for the 26-year-old.

Correa’s agent Alessandro Lucci is working to facilitate a move to Inter for his client and trying to convince Lazio to lower their demand.

The report concludes that only once it is clear what the final asking price for the Argentine is will the Nerazzurri they will make their decision on whether or not to sign him or Marcus Thuram.
