Inter are getting closer to a deal for Lazio’s Joaquin Correa, although there is still some distance to be overcome before an agreement on the fee involved can be found.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper il Messaggero, who report that the Biancocelesti have set their asking price for the Argentine at around €35 million and are still hoping that the Nerazzurri will come very close to this amount.

Inter, for their part, have reached around €30 million with bonuses, and are inching towards the Bianconeri’s valuation.

Lazio are hopeful of receiving as large of a fee as they can in order to fund a replacement for Correa in their squad, but there is a will on both sides to wrap up the deal and this is the outcome that talks are headed in the direction of.

The Nerazzurri are also considering Torino captain Andrea Belotti as a last-minute alternative to Correa but are focused on the Argentine, while Correa has firmly rejected an offer from Everton as he only wants Inter.
