Martin Satriano Could Start For Inter In Serie A Clash Against Sampdoria, Italian Media Report

Striker Martin Satriano is a candidate to start for Inter in the first Serie A match back from the international break, away at Sampdoria on Sunday.

This according today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Il Giorno, who report that Nerazzurri manager Simone Inzaghi could choose to start the Uruguayan as part of rotating the squad.

Strikers Lautaro Martinez and Joaquin Correa are almost certain to start on the bench at the Marassi, with the Argentine pair returning late from international duty and not likely to be ready to play from the start.

With the options limited up front by this dilemma, and by the fact that Alexis Sanchez is still coming back from an injury, Inzaghi could choose to turn to Satriano to start the match this weekend.

The 20-year-old has not been registered as part of the Nerazzurri’s Champions League squad, and the manager could see him as exactly the right option to provide an attacking threat while resting the players expected to be in action against Real Madrid next Wednesday.
