Inter striker Edin Dzeko has been named as one of the five highest performing players in European football so far this season.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInter1908, who report that the Bosnian has been ranked behind only a few of Europe’s elite players for his start to the season.

Dzeko has surpassed all but the most optimistic predictions for how he would start the season since his move from Roma over the summer, with his six goals in seven matches and all-around strong performances essential to the Nerazzurri’s unbeaten start to the Serie A campaign.

This level of performance has seen him ranked behind only Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema, Liverpool’s Mohammed Salah, Borussia Dortmund’s Erling-Braut Haaland, and Paris Saint Germain’s Kylian Mbappe in terms of how strong his start to the season has been, putting the Nerazzurri’s summer arrival in elite company for his start to the campaign.
