Italian journalist Marco Bucciantini believes that Inter and AC Milan are in the Serie A title race, but the Napoli are the slight favourites after seven games played.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster 1 Station Radio, the journalist gave the view that the Partenopei are slightly ahead but that the Milan clubs could catch up.

Inter’s unbeaten start to the season has not been enough to take them to the top of the table, and they sit two points behind AC Milan and four behind perfect starters Napoli.

There is still the large majority of the season to be played, including head-to-heads between all three teams as well as games involving other major Italian sides, but at this stage of the season these three already look to have marked themselves as favourites.

Bucciantini believes that the Partenopei’s early form is something that they can continue and that they are the favourites for the Scudetto across the entire rest of the season.

He gave his favourites for the Scudetto as “Napoli, and then immediately behind them, the Milanese clubs.”
