Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni has received some varying reviews from the Italian press after his performance in Italy’s defeat to Spain on Wednesday night, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported today by FcINternews, Alessandro Bastoni did not receive particularly glowing reviews from any newspaper but there was some disparity between the results.

La Gazzetta dello Sport were the kindest to the young defender, giving him a score of 5.5 out of 10. They criticised him for Ferran Torres’ first goal that opened the scoring for Spain.

Corriere dello Sport took a harsher view and gave Alessandro Bastoni five out of 10 and expressed surprise that he was given a starting spot in the game over Giorgio Chiellini by Roberto Mancini.

The most critical review came from Tuttosport who saw fit to give him a 4.5 out of 10. This rating was primarily due to his poor positioning for Spain’s opening goal.
