Italian journalist Riccardo Cucchi believes that Inter can still improve in the race for the Scudetto and gain ground on their rivals.

Writing in a Facebook post, as reported by FCInter1908, Cucchi gave the view that the Nerazzurri have a lot of potential which could see them get better as the season goes on.

Inter are two points behind city rivals AC Milan and four behind perfect starters Napoli after seven games in Serie A, with their unbeaten record not enough to see them top of the table.

Simone Inzaghi’s men will know that they are in for a serious title race, but they can also be confident that the quality in their team can see them face the challenges to come and go up against top-class rivals.

This is the view of Cucchi, who believes that the Nerazzurri could grow into the season and find their rhythm as they pursue a second successive Scudetto.

“Too early to talk about the Scudetto challenge reserved only for Napoli and Milan,” he wrote. “Inter have great room for growth, Juventus could re-enter and Roma are a great unknown.”
