The relationship between Inter coach Simone Inzaghi and the president of Lazio, Claudio Lotito, has still not been repaired after the coach left the club for Inter, according to a report in the Italian print media.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport whilst recounting Simone Inzaghi’s successful five-year spell with the Biancoceleste, there has still been no reconciliation between Simone Inzaghi and the Inter executives that were shocked by his departure.

Simone Inzaghi had been set to sign a new deal with Lazio to keep him at the club even longer but then Antonio Conte walked away from Inter due to the financial difficulties that the club is under.

Inter CEO Beppe Marotta acted quickly and convinced the Lazio coach to join Inter instead as the squad was suited to his preferred formation already.

Inter and Lazio face each other on Saturday for the first time since these developments.
