Croatian midfielder Ivan Perisic is likely to be playing upfront for Inter against Lazio as there is a shortage of available strikers, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport, the Croatian will be filling in in a position that is not totally unknown to him but one that he has not played in for some time.

He is routinely used by Simone Inzaghi as a left sided wing back but due to the potential absence of players such as Lautaro Martinez, Joaquin Correa, and Alexis Sanchez, he may find himself in more goal scoring positions than normal.

There is still a chance that Lautaro Martinez will be deemed fit enough to start the game, but it seems Ivan Perisic is the man in standby rather than Hakan Calhanoglu who is capable of playing in that position but is out of form.
