The emphatic nature of Inter’s win against Sheriff Tiraspol in the Champions League on Tuesday is highlighted by the fact that Nerazzurri defender Federico Dimarco created as many chances as the entire Sheriff team.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who note that according to the social media channel of football statistics account Squawka the 23-year-old laid on as many chances for his teammates as all the Sheriff players together.

Sheriff had their moments in the match, but in the end it was the Nerazzurri who looked clearly the superior side in a match that they needed to win.

Simone Inzaghi’s men controlled much of the territory and were aggressive in trying to get the ball into the box, well worth their 3-1 win.

Dimarco put three deliveries into the box which resulted in a goal-scoring opportunity despite having come off the pitch during the second half, which was as many as the entire Sheriff team, underlining the Nerazzurri’s dominance.
