Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi will miss the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash with Empoli, as he has been handed a one-match touchline ban following his red card against Juventus.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Sports Judge in Italy has confirmed the one-match suspension for the coach following his protestations in the aftermath of the penalty awarded against his side in yesterday’s match against Juventus.

Inzaghi was visibly angry following the decision to give the Bianconeri a spot kick following the advice of VAR, and the coach did not hold back in his reaction on the touchline.

The 45-year-old was given a red card for his protests, and he will have to be away from the pitch when his side travel to Tuscany to face newly-promoted Empoli in midweek.

Meanwhile, Ivan Perisic received his second yellow card of the season in the Bianconeri clash while Nicolo Barella received his third, while no punishment has been given to the club for the pyrotechnic displays by supporters.
