Inter are considering a January move for Cagliari’s Nahitan Nadnez or Sampdoria’s Bartosz Bereszynski to take over the right-sided role should Denzel Dumfries not make the position his own.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Serie A pair are among the Nerazzurri’s main targets as they consider the possibility of signing a right-wing-back with Dumfries not impressing consistently.

Dumfries gave away the penalty that saw the Nerazzurri fail to win against Juventus, and it was a bad moment for a player who has so far failed to cement himself as a regular starter.

Should the Dutchman continue to look wobbly in the position the Nerazzuri could relaunch their pursuit of Nandez, who had reportedly been close to signing before the club ultimately decided upon Dumfries in August.

Meanwhile, Bereszynski is another possibility being tracked by the club, with the Polish right-back seen as an inexpensive and reliable short-term option.
