Inter President Steven Zhang will be expected to keep a promise he made back in May when he returns to Italy soon, according to a report in the Italian print media.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport, when Steven Zhang was last in Italy a few months ago, he promised Beppe Marotta, Dario Baccin, and Piero Ausilio that they would be offered new contracts when he is back in the country again.

It is expected that he will return from China to Italy before Christmas, or in January at the latest. It will depend on Coronavirus protocols.

Negotiations on the terms of these new contracts have already begun and it is expected all three executives will sign on until 2025.

Steven Zhang praised all the staff at the latest shareholders meeting this week for the way they have kept the sporting side of the club under control despite the difficult financial position that the club is in.
