Inter are preparing to extend the contract of Federico Dimarco after his impressive start to the campaign, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Tuttosport, Federico Dimarco has impressed the Inter hierarchy with the way he has taken the opportunities that have come his way since he was incorporated into the first team on a permanent basis.

The defender is a product of the Nerazzurri academy and recently had a very successful loan spell with Hellas Verona where Ivan Juric increased the quality of his game a lot.

He was almost sold in the summer to raise funds for incoming transfers but now he is an important element of the squad.

The financial request of Federico Dimarco has surprised Inter but they still feel that a deal can be struck in the near future. It is not clear what the new wage for the player will be.
