There is uncertainty around the contract extension of Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, whose entourage are probing the market for potential interest in the 28-year-old.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that no agreement is close at hand with the midfielder whose current deal runs out next summer.

Brozovic’s current contract is set to expire at the end of June 2022, but the Nerazzurri have made finding an agreement with him on an extension a major priority.

No meetings have taken place towards this end yet, however, and there is now an increasing sense of uncertainty around the midfielder’s situation.

The player’s agents have been considering his options and probing for interest from elsewhere which would be a problem as the Nerazzurri look to come as close as they can to the Croat’s demands and secure his future amid the possibility of losing for free next summer.
