Andrea Ranocchia is the player who looks most likely to take the place of Stefan de Vrij in the Inter defence against Napoli on Sunday evening, according to a report in the Italian media today.
As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Italian defender will probably play in place of the injured Stefan de Vrij but there is another option that Simone Inzaghi may look to explore.
Given that the injury picked up by Alessandro Bastoni appears to no longer be an issue, Simone Inzaghi may choose to play in him in the centre of the three defenders and bring Federico Dimarco to the left hand side of the three.
This is a role he has played occasionally this season for Inter and the coach may see this as a good opportunity to continue acclimatising him to a second position within the team, rather than just wing back.
