As has been reported by Corriere della Sera, Inter can take a huge step towards overturning the points gap to Napoli and AC Milan if they win the match on Sunday evening against the Azzurri.
Given that AC Milan lost to Fiorentina 4-3 on Saturday evening, there is a golden opportunity to end the weekend four points behind the two teams at the top of the table.
It is also an opportunity to go 10 points behind Napoli and remain seven points behind AC Milan, which could spell the end of Inter’s title chances this season.
There would be virtually no room for error for Simone Inzaghi’s side if they remained so far away from the summit of the table after this weekend.
