Inter defender Danilo D’Ambrosio is set to be handed a start in this evening’s Serie A clash with Roma.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that Nerazzurri coach will start the 33-year-old alongside Milan Skriniar and Alessandro Bastoni in the backline at the Stadio Olimpico.

The Nerazzurri are still going through something of an injury crisis in defense, with Matteo Darmian, Stefan de Vrij, and Andrea Ranocchia all expected to miss the match against the Giallorossi.

Accordingly, Inzaghi will have to play with an improvised back three as he has already done against the likes of Venezia and Spezia in Serie A.

The Gazzetta predict that it will be Skriniar filling in centrally while D’Ambrosio plays on the right, as had been the case against Spezia on Wednesday.

Their predicted starting eleven for the clash is as follows:

INTER (3-5-2): Handanovic; D’Ambrosio, Skriniar, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Brozovic, Calhanoglu, Perisic; Dzeko, Lautaro.
