Inter could allow forward Alexis Sanchez leave the club during the January transfer window in order to get him off of their wage bill.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the Nerazzurri would be ready to part ways with the 32-year-old in order to save on the €13.5 million net wages still owed on his contract.

Sanchez has found some playing time at Inter when fit this season, but he has not been a regular fixture in the team under head coach Simone Inzaghi.

The club could decide that he is not worth having in the squad given the substantial wages that he earns, although it remains to be seen if a new club could be found that would be able to afford his wages.

There is some interest in signing Sanchez from a number of clubs, but so far no concrete offers have arrived for his signature.
