The Champions League goal scoring record of Lautaro Martinez’s reflects the issue that has plagued the Nerazzurri’s campaign so far, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by FCInternews, Lautaro Martinez had twenty five shots on target during the group stages of the Champions League this season but he did not score a single goal.

That effectively sums up the issue that stopped Inter from taking top spot in their group and potentially getting an easier team in the Round of 16. Finishing second means they could play Bayern Munich, Manchester City, or Liverpool among others.

Inter have had no issues scoring goals in Serie A, they are the division top scorers and look set to maintain that crown.

In Europe though they failed to score in three of their six matches, twice against Real Madrid and once against Shakhtar Donetsk in Kyiv during the 0-0 draw.
