Inter striker Edin Dzeko is set to be given a rest in this evening’s Serie A clash with Cagliari, with Alexis Sanchez to come into the lineup in his place.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who include the Chilean in their predicted starting eleven for the fixture, while Dzeko drops to the bench.
Sanchez has only gotten one start for Inter so far this campaign, with his minutes restricted by injuries to some extent while he has not been a first-choice starter among the attacking options.
However, with Dzeko having started the majority of the Nerazzurri’s matches during the recent busy period of the fixture schedule, Sanchez will be given an opportunity by Simone Inzaghi to show his quality in the Bosnian’s place.
