Barcelona are not focusing entirely on Inter forward Alexis Sanchez as there is another player that the Spanish side wants more, according to a report in the Spanish media today.

As has been reported by Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo today, Manchester City forward Ferran Torres is the player that Barcelona are focusing the majority of their efforts towards.

Alexis Sanchez is a player that new Barcelona boss Xavi would like to acquire because he can offer depth both in the middle and from the wide areas.

Signing Ferran Torres from the Premier League champions could be a step too far for Barcelona financially as their economic woes are well known.

Along the same vein though, Alexis Sanchez’s wages could also be prohibitive for the Spanish side so they would need Dutch striker Luuk de Jong to also leave the club to lessen the financial burden of bringing Alexis Sanchez in.
