Inter are set to announce the departure of Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen from the club after a meeting in Milan, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.
As has been reported by Sky Sport today, via FCInter1908, Christian Eriksen and his agent had a meeting with Inter today in Milan in which his departure from the club was discussed in detail.
It is now believed that baring a few minor bureaucratic details, an announcement will be made over the next couple of days confirming that the midfielder is no longer attached to the Nerazzurri.
Christian Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest on the pitch of Denmark’s opening Euro 2020 game in the summer. He has since been fitted with an implanted defibrillator but Italian rules mean that he can no longer play in Italy.
He is expected to resume his career at Odense, Ajax, or perhaps a Premier League team where he is eligible to play.
