Italian journalist Mario Sconcerti believes that AC Milan are feeling the pressure from Inter’s recent run of strong form.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster TMW Radio, Sconcerti gave the view that the Rossoneri look to be rattled by the speed with which their city rivals have caught up to and overtaken them in the Serie A table.

Milan held onto their seven-point advantage over the Nerazzurri going into the November international break by drawing 1-1 in the first derby of the season.

Since the break, however, the Nerazzurri have shifted the tide in the Scudetto race significantly by winning all their games while the Rossoneri have now dropped eleven points over the same period after yesterday’s loss to Napoli.

Sconcerti believes that it has been Inter’s upturn in form and seeming relentlessness that has affected Milan’s mentality in recent matches.

“Milan are going through a moment of difficulty,” he stated, “they look to be suffering from Inter’s form in the run-up.”

He added of the Rossoneri that “They no longer shoot at goal as much, and when they do they aren’t able to score.”
