Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi is grateful for having been given the opportunity to show what he can do at the Nerazzurri.

Speaking in response to Steven Zhang’s holiday greeting, via FCInter1908, the coach thanked the President and the club for putting their faith in him.

Inzaghi has enjoyed a very positive start to life at Inter, putting a few early wobbles behind the team to establish the Nerazzurri as the form team in Italian football at the top of the Serie A table.

The decision to appoint the former Lazio coach as the successor to Antonio Conte in the summer looks to have been vindicated as the team play a positive brand of football and achieve the results they are after.

Inzaghi is happy that he has been allowed to undertake this project at Inter and gives a lot of credit to President Zhang for putting the conditions in place for him to succeed.

“I want to say thank you to everyone for how I was welcomed into this family,” he said. “And my thanks go to the President for the opportunity he gave me to be here and to coach Inter.”

He then emphasized that “The results are coming, now we want to end the year with a win.”
