Everton left-back Lucas Digne is open to making a move to Inter in January, though the interest of Chelsea could turn his head.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri are in talks to sign the 28-year-old but face competition from the Blues.

Digne looks to be on his way out from the Toffees next month, having fallen out with head coach Rafa Benitez.

The Nerazzurri are considering the Frenchman to be a major target as a potential backup option to Ivan Perisic on the left, and they have made contact with Everton about a possible move.

Inter would have to offload the likes of Aleksandar Kolarov and Matias Vecino for a move for Digne to be feasible, but should they be able to agree on a loan deal with the English side then they will move.

However, Chelsea are also seriously considering a move for Digne to fill in for the injured Ben Chilwell, and could stand in the way of the Nerazzurri bringing the player in.
