American businessman David E.Straus must respond to Steven Zhang with a serious interest in buyingInter by mid-January, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport today, the Inter president has been holding talks with various potential US buyers and investors whilst he has been visiting California recently.

The club maintains that the Chinese businessman is purely in America for private reasons but many feel he is evaluating the interest in the club should a sale need to happen.

Suning are standing by their €1 billion valuation of the club and Steven Zhang wants David E.Straus to express a serious interest in buying a majority share in the club, otherwise, he will move on to other interested parties.

Steven Zhang recently chose to postpone the refinancing of a bond which makes sense if you are negotiating a sale as you leave that large financial decision to the new owner.
