Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi is hoping that he can continue to rely on Alexis Sanchez during the Nerazzurri’s first few matches of 2022.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the coach expects the Chilean to continue on with his good form from before the winter break.

Sanchez had struggled for game time during the first part of the season, first missing a number of weeks through injury before being behind other attackers in the rotation.

However, the 33-year-old played his way into the team especially following the November international break, and he got a start and a goal against both Cagliari and Salernitana.

Now Inter have several important matches coming up straightaway as they come back from the international break, and Inzaghi wants to continue to use Sanchez prominently as he aims to make full use of his squad without any loss of quality in attack.
