Inter defender Milan Skriniar was partly to blame for a mix-up at the back which led to Lazio’s first-half equalizer in yesterday’s Serie A clash, but made up for it by scoring the winner during the second half.

This according to Italian news outlet L’Interista, who rate the Slovak’s display in the match at 6.5/10 and note that he was involved in two key moments for the Nerazzurri, for better or worse.

Skriniar and fellow defender Stefan de Vrij switched off to allow both Lazio striker Ciro Immobile and a bouncing ball through on goal during the first half of yesterday’s match, while Samir Handanovic was too quick to rush out of his goal.

The result of his confusion between the teammates was an easy finish for Immobile, which temporarily cancelled out Alessandro Bastoni’s opener for the Nerazzurri.

However, Skriniar was otherwise his usual composed self both defensively and in possession, and he went some way towards atoning for his first-half lapse by rising to meet a Bastoni cross midway through the second half and head home the decisive goal in the 2-1 win.
