Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni was the weakest performer for his team in yesterday evening’s goalless draw with Atalanta in Serie A, according to Italian media.

This from today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who only gave the 22-year-old a rating of 5.5/10 for his display in the player ratings for the match.

Bastoni has been in good form for the Nerazzurri since the return from the winter break, but against La Dei he was not able to have the same impact on the game in an attacking sense that he has in recent matches.

Moreover, the Gazzetta highlight the 22-year-old’s culpability for Atalanta striker Luis Muriel’s excellent late chance to put his side ahead, which only an excellent intervention by Samir Handanovic was able to stop.

Handanovic was named as Inter’s best player on the night with a 7.5/10 grade for his heroics in goal from the Gazzetta, while the likes of Marcelo Brozovic and Milan Skriniar were also commended for their displays with 7/10 scores.
