Inter have managed to create a tangible advantage for themselves at the top of the Serie A table, and they have owed their consistent form as well as the injury and COVID misfortunes of their biggest rivals.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who highlight how the Nerazzurri have found the winning groove right when their main competitors for the Scudetto have started to stumble.

Inter have a two-point gap over their closest rivals in the table AC Milan and have a game in hand as well, and they now look to be the clear favourites for the title.

The Rossoneri’s shock loss to Spezia yesterday was only the latest result which helped Inter’s cause without the team having to do anything, as the Nerazzurri’s point in a difficult away match against Atalanta still saw them move further ahead of their city rivals.

Both Milan and Napoli have done everything that they can to cope with injuries as well as absneces through COVID and players participating in the African Cup of Nations.

However, they have nevertheless faltered at times, while the Nerazzurri have proven themselves apt to cope with absences from their team and maintain a highly consistent level of form.
