Inter are continuing to look into players who can back up Ivan Perisic in the squad without a big financial commitment, and are looking at opportunities that could emerge from the Premier League.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri are looking for a left-sided player to loan in for the rest of the season.

A player who can deputize for Perisic has been a transfer priority for the entire transfer window, but budgetary restrictions have made identifying the right profile difficult.

Eintracht Frankfurt’s Filip Kostic has been the preferred option and would also be a player to succeed Perisic in the long term, but agreeing a loan move with his club looks to be difficult.

The Nerazzurri are now working to identify an opportunity that arises in the last week of the transfer window from the Premier League or another major European side, focusing on loan moves.
