AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic should be ready to return from injury for the derby clash with Inter after the international break.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the injury which forced the Swede off against Juventus is not serious and he should recover in time for the derby.

Ibrahimovic had to be substituted just before the half-hour mark in the Rossoneri’s Serie A clash with Juventus yesterday, with what was revealed to be a problem with his right Achilles tendon.

The 40-year-old will undergo further tests to determine the full extent of the injury, but it should not be serious enough to necessitate a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Milan will take on Inter in the derby on the first weekend back from the international break, either on the 5th or 6th of February, and Ibrahimovic should be ready to be part of the squad for the massive match.
