Inter have made an offer to Genoa striker Felipe Caicedo to join for the rest of the season.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri have offered the Ecuadorian a six-month contract to join this month but that they have yet to work out a formula with Genoa.

Caicedo has emerged as one of the Nerazzurri’s main attacking targets to bolster their forward options with Joaquin Correa injured, having worked with Simone Inzaghi before at Lazio to good effect.

They are ready to offer the 33-year-old a short-term deal for the second half of the season provided he slightly reduces his wages, which come to a net of €2.5 million for the entire season in his contract with the Griffone.

Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri will try and work out a formula for the deal with Genoa, who do not look to be interested in an exchange with Eddie Salcedo.
