Atalanta wing-back Robin Gosens would be open to making the switch to Inter this month.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the German is interested in making the move, though negotiations with his club Atalanta could be difficult.

Inter have identified Gosens as one of their main long-term targets to succeed Ivan Perisic on the left, and they are serious about moving for him given the situation in their squad.

The Croat’s current contract expires at the end of June and he has not yet found an agreement on an extension, while Federico Dimarco is seen as a defender rather than a wing-back and Aleksandar Kolarov is set to end his time with the club.

Negotiations with Atalanta on the right formula for the 27-year-old could prove difficult, while Newcastle United’s interest is a further complication, but the Nerazzurri feel that they can convince the player.
