Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi is hoping that Stefano Sensi will remain a part of the squad, but the midfielder could nevertheless go ahead with a loan move to Sampdoria.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri coach would like to rely on the 26-year-old.

Sensi had looked all set for a dry loan to Sampdoria until the end of the season, with medicals reportedly scheduled for the day following the Nerazzurri’s Coppa Italia clash with Empoli.

However, Joaquin Correa’s injury during the Empoli match has meant that the Nerazzurri look short-handed in attack, and Sensi could be relied on to play as an attacking midfielder in the team as he did against Genoa on the opening day.

Sampdoria are still keen on the 26-year-old, who would like to make the move, but the hope of the Inter coach is to continue to have Sensi available to him.
