Former Inter defender Antonio Paganin feels that Atalanta wing-back Robin Gosens can make an impact for Inter should he join from Atalanta.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster TMW Radio, the 55-year-old highlighted how the Atalanta wing-back can settle right in, and also named Arsneal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as a player who he’d like to see as a striker option at the Nerazzurri.

Gosens looks all set to join Inter on an initial loan deal before then joining permanently in the summer, and the German will be seen as the long-term successor to Ivan Perisic on the left.

Paganin feels that the 27-year-old will already be ready to fit into the first team once he returns from an injury.

“The German is ready-made to slot into this Inter team’s style instantly, it doesn’t surprise me they’d sign him,” he said.

He went on that “He’s a big loss for Atalanta, but they’ve shown that they’re a well-oiled machine at moving on their assets for a profit. Maybe they’ve already identified a replacement.

Paganin also suggested that Arsenal striker Aubameyang should be a name who the Nerazzurri consider as a solution as they look to reinforce their attack during the last week of the January transfer market.

“I expect that they’ll sign an attacker in January,” he said. “Dzeko is doing well but more is needed.”

He went on that “I don’t think it will Scamacca, who’s not quite ready to make the step up to a top side. If I had to think of someone I’d say they should sign Aubameyang, a player I’d love to see play for Inter.”
