Sassuolo forward Gianluca Scamacca has said no to a move to Borussia Dortmund as he would rather join Inter in the summer, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported today by La Gazzetta dello Sport, a €45 million bid from the Bundesliga side recently came in but the refusal came directly from the player because he has his heart set on a move to the Nerazzurri instead.

Borussia Dortmund’s plan was to secure his signing but allow him to remain with the Neroverdi until the end of the season.

The German side also made an approach for Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi but in that case, the no came directly from the club.

Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali has reportedly made Inter aware of the interest in Gianluca Scamacca as the two clubs have positive relations when it comes to transfers. Inter wants to sign him for next season.
