AC Milan midfielder Brahim Diaz has said that his team will be fighting to win the derby against Inter next weekend and will fight all season, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking during an interview with Sport Mediaset, via L’Interista, Brahim Diaz spoke passionately about the upcoming Derby della Madonnina which could prove decisive for both AC Milan and Inter this season.

“We want to win and we will do our best. There are many teams, we are one of them and we will try to fight until the end.”

The game takes place on Saturday 5 February in the evening and will allow the Rossoneri to close to within one point of the league leaders. Inter will still have a game in hand over AC Milan as they had an earlier fixture against Bologna postponed.

If Inter win though, they will be seven points ahead of AC Milan and still possess the opportunity to go 10 points ahead with that game in hand.

The pressure will mostly be on AC Milan to get the result they need.
