Inter are confident that they will be able to find an agreement with Marcelo Brozovic on a new contract in the next few weeks.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the negotiations have progressed more slowly than expected but that the club expect to have it wrapped up soon.

The Nerazzurri have been in talks with Brozovic’s representatives since the middle of November, and have gotten close to a full agreement on a new deal for the 29-year-old, whose current contract expires at the end of June.

However, with the distractions of a busy January transfer window, the club have not managed to get the final details finished on the renewal for the Croat.

However, the attitude is optimistic in the club that they will soon renew with Brozovic, as well as with key directors Beppe Marotta, Piero Ausilio, Dario Baccin, and Alessandro Antonello.
