Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi is still yet to settle on a concrete idea of what he wants his starting eleven to look like in Saturday’s derby clash with AC Milan.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the coach’s main doubts concern the attack, but also that he is considering how to best counteract the Rossoneri.

Felipe Caicedo is already settled in and training to make an instant impact in a Nerazzurri shirt after signing last week, and the Ecuadorian should at least make the bench for the derby over the weekend.

However, Inzaghi will be closely watching the international exploits of Lautaro Martinez and Alexis Sanchez, both involved in World Cup qualifiers tonight.

Both South American attackers will be back on Thursday, and the coach will make assessments of his entire forward line to decide which players are in the best condition to start against the Rossoneri.

Meanwhile, according to the Corriere the Inter coach is also mindful of the threat of Milan’s left side in particular, where he will want to make sure the combination of Theo Hernandez and Rafael Leao is dealt with adequately.

Denzel Dumfries remains the favourite to start the massive derby clash, but the coach could yet decide to rely on Matteo Darmian instead to keep Inter’s city rivals at bay defensively.
