Inter are fearful that South American duo Lautaro Matinez and Alexis Sanchez will be suffering from fatigue ahead of the match against AC Milan, according to a report in the Italian print media today.
As has been reported today by Libero, the Argentine and Chilean strikers have both played two matches during the international break in which they both managed to score twice.
That means that they are both full of confidence, but have not had the same amount of rest as the other players in Inter’s or AC Milan’s squads.
Lautaro Martinez returned to Milan on Thursday but Alexis Sanchez will not be back until late on Thursday night as he had a more complicated set of flights to get back to Italy.
That is why Lautaro Martinez seems much more likely to start the match alongside Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko when Inter hosts the Rossoneri at San Siro on Saturday evening.
