This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Dutchman is likely to be selected for the massive head-to-head match with the Nerazzurri’s city rivals.
Inter coach Simone Inzaghi will be carefully considering how to set up his team to counteract the significant threat posed by the Rossoneri’s left side.
Milan like to attack down their left side through left-back Theo Hernandez and forward Rafael Leao, and winning the battle on this side of the pitch could prove crucial in determining the outcome of this evening’s match.
Both Dumfries and Darmian have shown good form this season and each have different qualities that the coach could turn to in order to best approach this challenge, but it looks to be Dumfries who Inzaghi will put his trust in.
