AC Milan striker Olivier Giroud was the derby hero for the Rossoneri, inflicting a disappointing defeat on Inter with his quickfire second-half brace.

The former Montpellier, Arsenal, and Chelsea man showed that he can show his quality in the biggest occasions filling in for Zalatan Ibrahimovic, and set an impressive record in doing so.

As football statistics account Opta highlighted in a tweet, no French player has scored two goals for the Rossoneri against Inter in the derby before Giroud did yesterday.
