Messina executive Pietro Lo Monaco has said that the overall quality of Napoli is not lower than that of  Inter this season, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media today.

Speaking during an interview on the Radio Goal broadcast on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, via FCInter1908, Pietro Lo Monaco showed that he thinks Inter can be beaten by the other teams in the title fight, as was shown by AC Milan last weekend.

“The weak point of Inter? No team is perfect, Milan also demonstrated it in the derby. Inter introduces itself like a tough team, compact and strong in all departments, but against an equal grade like Napoli, they can run into another misstep.”

Inter were comfortably leading AC Milan 1-0 at San Siro before a quickfire double late in the game from French striker Olivier Giroud saw the Rossoneri take all three points.

That result has resuscitated the title fight in Serie A and now Napoli will be hoping to pull off a similar feat and move ahead of Inter in the table.

Pietro Lo Monaco points out that the quality of Napoli’s squad is not actually lower than that of Inter.

“The overall quality of Napoli is absolutely not lower than that of Inter.”
