Simone Inzaghi is likely to start Lautaro Martinez in the match against Napoli but start with Alexis Sanchez against Liverpool next week, according to a report in the Italian print media today.
As has been reported by Corriere della Sera today, the Italian coach is going to rotate his two South American strikers for the two huge games coming up that could define the Nerazzurri’s season.
Lautaro Martinez is in poor form right now but is expected to start the game against Napoli on Saturday evening alongside Bosnian forward Edin Dzeko.
He could then drop to the bench when Liverpool visit San Siro on Wednesday night so that Alexis Sanchez can continue his impressive form and help the team take a positive result to Anfield in March.
The Chilean forward has impressed Inter enough under Simone Inzaghi that he may be kept on for one more season until his contract expires in June 2023.
