Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni wants to be ready to make his return from injury and play against Liverpool in Wednesday’s Champions League round of sixteen clash.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri are monitoring the 22-year-old’s conditions in the hopes that signs will point to a return for that match.
The next day or two will be decisive in determining whether or not Bastoni can be back in time for Wednesday’s clash, with the key being to see if the defender has full range of movement and can play without much pain.
The 22-year-old for his part is determined, and wants to do everything he can to be back in time to face the Reds in the Champions League.
However, it will all depend on how the player’s recovery goes over the next couple days to see if he can be ready to play.
